We're not ashamed to admit that we're dreamers. We would rather make a public statement about our view of modern living and aesthetics than remain anonymous and impersonal. Of course, there are numerous variations on the ideal design, but only one suits our tastes. For this reason, people who share similar interests gather in social settings of all sizes, where they can exchange lifestyle, purchasing, and cultural preferences. Calling it elitist thinking would probably be overstating things, but ritual behavior is still evident in each customized setting we encounter, which is ultimately what makes it so alluring.
